We had decided to make one of the two luxury self-catering ‘residences’ set on a 25-acre private estate surrounded by vineyards, orchards and fynbos at The Guardian our base for the weekend. Its central position made for quick and easy access to the regions wine farms, but the prime valley location was (as corny as it may seem) just “heavenly”. The property looks up to incredible panoramic views of the Babilonstoring Mountain Peak which is remarkably 50m higher than Table Mountain – even the shower came with a view!
